Welcome to NextBigNiche.ai – The Simplest Way to Discover Promising Amazon Niches

Updated on: December 14, 2024

NextBigNiche was built with a minimalist approach in mind. We’ve gathered all the essentials from Amazon analytics tools and streamlined the process of finding and tracking profitable niches. Now, you can focus on the fun stuff—creating content, optimizing campaigns, and those long nights chatting with Amazon support. In this guide, we’ll walk through how to use the tool and read the data.

1. Niche Search

You’ll find around 100,000 trending niches on the main page, showing only those with positive search growth. These niches are continuously updated, so you’re always looking at fresh data.

Each niche is broken down by several key metrics based on the first search results page, with some sortable options.

Click here: Why do we prefer median values over averages when evaluating first-page products?

Median what? I know, it might sound a bit extra, but let me show you why it’s actually great. Imagine a niche where the first page of search results has the following review counts for each product:
  • Product 1: 2000 reviews
  • Product 2: 3000 reviews
  • Product 3: 50 reviews
  • Product 4: 60 reviews
  • Product 5: 80 reviews
  • Product 6: 100 reviews
  • Product 7: 120 reviews
  • Product 8: 150 reviews
  • Product 9: 200 reviews
  • Product 10: 250 reviews
We all know how to find the average: add up all the review counts, divide by the number of products, and you get 601 reviews on average. Looks like tough competition for a newbie, right? But let’s look at this from a different angle using the Median.

To find the Median Reviews, we sort the reviews from lowest to highest:
50, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 200, 250, 2000, 3000

Since there are 10 products, the median is the average of the 5th and 6th values: 120 and 150
So, Median Reviews is 135.

This means half of the products on the first page have fewer than 135 reviews, and half have more. So actually, half of all the products on the first page have fewer than 135 reviews! Not so intimidating after all..

2. Filters

Filters are your main tool for finding niches that meet your criteria. You’ll see several options grouped under Search Term, Popularity Analysis, First Page Data, and Top-3 Products. Each field has a tooltip you can hover over for further explanation.

Sorting the search terms alphabetically, I start scrolling. Let’s see what catches my eye.

Back Pillow – This one looks interesting; let’s dig deeper. It’s showing steady growth over time, not just a sudden hype trend, and it doesn’t appear to be seasonal, which you can see from the graph.

The top product in this niche holds 13% of all clicks, with the second at 7%. It’s worth exploring the niche’s designs to see what could stand out against the top product.

There’s a significant gap between the average review count (4K) and the median (278), suggesting a dominant player with far more reviews than others.

The average price ($30.7) and median price ($29.2) are close, showing a consistent price range across sellers.

The ratings are solid at 4.4.

The top 3 products receive 25% of all clicks and account for 14% of all purchases. This usually indicates a lack of monopoly, but it’s worth opening Amazon to double-check.

This niche looks promising, so let’s add it to the Watch List and keep going!

Battery Powered Lamp – This seems to be part of the popular cordless lamps trend! Let’s take a closer look.

The clicks are well distributed among the top 3 products (8%, 8%, and 7%), suggesting there isn’t a single dominant player.

This isn’t a new search term, and from the graph, we see two peaks – in Q2 and Q4. Interesting!

It has shown steady year-over-year growth, which is a positive sign for us.

The average reviews (2K) and median (193) suggest there’s a big player, but since clicks are well-distributed, that’s less concerning.

There’s almost no difference between the average and median prices on the first page ($30.1 vs. $30), so there’s a clear target price point.

The ratings are decent at 4.3.

The top 3 products capture 22% of all clicks and account for 10% of all purchases.

Let’s add this one to the Watch List too!

Not a bad catch for a 15-minute search! Next, we’ll take a closer look at niches by analyzing listings, assessing designs,

reading reviews, estimating revenues, and using the Fee Calculator. But you already know the drill. 😉
